Our institution Türkischer Elternverein Calw e.V., we are setting out to amplify the voices of young people in the fight against the climate crisis through art and culture! Our new Erasmus+ project, “Culture Meets Climate: Creative Youth for Sustainability,” brings together young people from different cultures on the common ground of ecological awareness and creativity.

Why This Project?
Research shows that young people highly value sustainability but struggle to translate this awareness into daily life. Our project aims to fill this gap by blending ecological education with creativity, cultural exchange, and digital tools. Our young people will not only learn but also use tools such as video production and storytelling to convey their own messages to the world.

Our Project Goals:
Creative Participation: To empower young people’s environmental activism through video production, art, and storytelling.

Unifying Cultural Diversity: To bring together young people from diverse backgrounds in a shared sense of ecological citizenship.

Practical Ecological Skills: To integrate waste reduction, recycling, and sustainable living practices into daily life.

Personal Development: To develop teamwork, digital literacy, and self-confidence skills in an international environment.

Mobility and Participant Profile
Our project will involve a total of 42 participants, with 1 leader and 5 participants from each partner country. Prioritizing young people aged 18-30 who are interested in sustainability and creativity, especially those with limited opportunities, this process will foster a complete intercultural dialogue.

An Activity-Filled Program:
What awaits us in our 10-day program prepared using non-formal education methods?

Green Hackathon: A competition to produce creative and technological solutions to sustainability problems.

Zero Waste Laboratory: Workshop for producing natural products, soaps, and cosmetics.

Video Production Day: Preparing campaign videos for our YouTube channel, created specifically for the project.

Ecological Mural (Wall Painting): Creating a collective work of art with recycled materials.

Sustainability and Yoga: Discussions and mindfulness meditations on industrial sustainability.

Culture Nights: Unique gatherings where each country introduces its own traditions, food, and dances.

Designing the Future Together
At the end of the project, our participants will crown their acquired skills with a Youthpass certificate and will spread this awareness to their local communities with the “Digital Eco-Booklets” they have prepared.

We are working not only to protect the environment, but also to reimagine it and transform it into a cultural richness. A sustainable future will rise in the hands of creative young people!
