“Right Information, Strong Society” — Media Literacy Campaign Wraps Across Cities

Date & Place: 1–18 October 2024 — multi-city (Germany)
Lead: TOAB Calw completed a 17-day media-literacy drive helping families verify sources, understand how misinformation spreads, and adopt healthier media habits at home.
Program focus: Parents and youth learned simple, repeatable steps for fact-checking and source evaluation, with take-home checklists to continue conversations after sessions. The campaign emphasized family routines (e.g., co-viewing news, setting “pause-and-verify” moments) and community dialogue to counter false claims respectfully.
Outcomes: Strong local turnout and positive feedback around practical tips families could start the same day. The association’s wrap-up invited ongoing collaboration with schools for continuous digital-wellbeing workshops through the year.
